Info-graphics
Info-graphics (or Information Graphics) are visual models or pictures of data, statistics, or any knowledge of the sort. Most people and companies use info-graphics to make things more appealing to the eye. With that, people absorb the data alot more simply and wont bore a reader. The general idea of info graphics existed for many centuries, the first known recording of it was in 1626. Info-graphics are extremely similar to graphics design. When you make a logo or a vector of something, you want to send a message with that. The picture itself speaks to others, and shows the creativity of the publisher, while also supplying useful information. You see a good info-graphic that catches your eye? It's made by a graphic designer that knows how to display information with style.

Definitions
Font (Serif & Sans-Serif) - Font that does not have the small projecting features called serifs at the end of the strokes.
margin - The area between the main content of a page and the page edges.
guide (illustrator guides) - a ruler that vertically and horizontally helps you align images and text.
Bleed - a term that refers to printing that goes beyond the edge of the sheet before trimming.
CMYK - A subtractive color model (cyan, magenta, yellow, and key(black)).
image resolution - the detail an image holds.
proof copy - text that is not final, preliminary.
artboard - a white or blank board in which work is done.
registration mark - The method of correlating overlapping colors on one single image.
